At the end of a long, hard 2022-23 season, Sheffield Wednesday had gained a massive 96 points but failed to win automatic promotion. It looked like the campaign would end in bitter disappointment as the Owls trailed Peterborough 4-0 after the first leg, but Darren Moore's side pulled off the greatest comeback in playoff history to win 5-1 on the night to tie the scores, then took the penalty shootout 5-3.
