Collection: Manchester City

Manchester City was founded in 1880 as St. Mark's (West Gorton), becoming Ardwick Association Football Club in 1887 and Manchester City in 1894. The club's home ground is now the City of Manchester Stadium having moved from Maine Road in 2003.

It's been a rollercoaster ride over the years for many seasoned City supporters and the dramatic finale to the 2011-12 Premier League season encapsulated that perfectly. With nearest rivals (locally and in the table) United winning at Sunderland, City needed to win to claim the club's first title since 1968 but found themselves 2-1 down to QPR going into injury time. It really was a case of agony to ecstasy as first Edin Dzeko levelled and then Sergio Aguerroooo secured the victory with seconds left!

History repeated itself in the 2021-22 season, as City scored three goals in six minutes to overturn a 2-0 deficit and retain the Premier League title at the expense of Liverpool. If you have a favourite City game, contact us and we'll recreate it for you.
