Liverpool 1973 UEFA Cup Winners Teletext Mug

Liverpool 1973 UEFA Cup Winners Teletext Mug

The first leg of the Final was originally scheduled for the Wednesday but the match was abandoned after 27 minutes due to a waterlogged pitch. In that time, though, shrewd Liverpool boss Bill Shankly had spotted an aerial weakness in Borussia's defence and brought the tall striker John Toshack into the line-up for the re-arranged game to replace the diminutive Brian Hall. Liverpool enjoyed a 3-0 first leg lead and though beaten 2-0 in the return, held on to add the UEFA Cup to the League title.

Glossy white finish 10oz mug, dishwasher and microwave-safe, looks great on any desk in any home, office, kitchen, workshop, studio, factory or garden.
