That match gave my dad his hero - Ronnie Boyce, scorer of the winner in stoppage time - and gave me my name. I grew up hearing stories of Wembley, Ron Greenwood’s calm authority, and Bobby Moore’s leadership, and I must have been a good luck charm as the Hammers won the Cup again a year after I was born - beating a Fulham side featuring Moore himself - and landed the trophy again in 1980, thanks to a rare header by Trevor Brooking.
