West Brom won the League Cup in 1966 in the last Final played over two legs and were involved in the first Wembley final a year later, losing out to QPR 3-2. In 1968, the club enjoyed Cup success again, as a Jeff Astle goal in extra-time gave the Baggies victory over hot favourites, Everton.
