Collection: Swindon Town

This was one of the biggest shocks in British football history as top-flight Arsenal were beaten by Third Division (now League One) Swindon Town. The underdogs took a first-half lead and held on until four minutes from time when Bobby Gould levelled for the Gunners. Extra-time on a heavy pitch was dominated by the minnows and two goals from Don Rogers sealed the memorable victory.
