Even teletext wasn't around in 1952 when Huddersfield last beat Manchester United in the league prior to the shock success over Jose Mourinho's side this season. Back then, Town were managerless after sacking George Stephenson 10 days before the match with the club struggling against relegation. Andy Beattie was appointed boss the following month but couldn't save Huddersfield from the drop for the first time in its history. When Beattie resigned in 1956, his assistant - a certain Bill Shankly - became manager.
United were managed by the legendary Matt Busby and the side featured Roger Byrne, one of the players tragically killed in the 1958 Munich disaster.
