Legends Of The Game

The first in a series of mugs commemorating the true greats of the game - none bigger than Edson Arantes Do Nascimento, the incomparable Pele!

Born in 1940, he began his career with Brazilian club Santos aged only 15 and made his debut for his country just a year later, going on to become the only player in history to win three World Cups - in 1958, 1962 and, most memorably, in 1970 as arguably part of the best international team of all-time.

Pele left Santos in 1974 to join New York Cosmos in the new North American Soccer League and his career finally ended in 1977, fittingly with a friendly match between Cosmos and Santos.
